In the year 2000, a small group of attorneys and staff moved from Philadelphia to Seattle to open a second office of the Philadelphia-based intellectual property boutique law firm Woodcock Washburn, so as to be closer to the growing technology industry in the Pacific Northwest.

When Woodcock Washburn merged into BakerHostetler in 2014, the Seattle office expanded from its base offering of IP preparation/prosecution services, to also include servicing commercial litigation, IP litigation, data privacy, business (including emerging companies, bankruptcy and venture capital), as well as real estate and technology transactions. This year, our office of almost 50 hardworking and very talented professionals will celebrate our 25th year in Seattle, not only catering to the needs of a wide variety of regional clients, but also to an expanding clientele now located all over the United States as well as the world.

We are collectively looking forward to what the next 25 years might bring…
